Citizens supporting the Socialist-endorsed government of Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski, have gathered once again Sunday in the Bulgarian capital Sofia.

About 50 people were seen at 6 pm at their traditional location – the park in front of the National Palace of Culture, NDK, after attending a similar rally in the central town of Nova Zagora Saturday evening.

The Bulgarian National Radio reports they informed that more planned to show up, but the forecast for rain made them uneasy.

Participants say they are not supporting any other pro-government initiatives, including the one for a new public contract.

They want the Parliament to conclusively pass the budget revision, after the President-imposed veto, and to have a functioning Cabinet and Parliament, working without pressure.

The pro-government protesters are firm they will stage rallies across the country, similarly to their opponents. Such rallies are planned for August 14 in the southwestern city of Blagoevgrad, August 18 in the central city of Gabrovo, and August 18 in the northwestern city of Montana.
