Spanish tennis player Marcel Granollers has proven an insurmountable obstacle for Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov at Montreal Masters.

After the defeat in the singles, Spaniards Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez won over Grigor Dimitrov, Bulgaria, and Philipp Kohlschreiber, Germany.

Dimitrov and his partner Philipp Kohlschreiber lost 3:6, 2:6 from Granollers and his compatriot Marc Lopez in the second round of the tournament.

On Wednesday Granollers defeated Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov in the first round at Montreal Masters.

The Spaniard, who is world No 36, won over the Bulgarian 6-4 6-4.

Thus Granollers lined up opposite Andy Murray, the Wimbledon winner playing his first match in the month since that historic title.

Murray beat Granollers 6-4 7-6.
