A Bulgarian coach bus from the Danube city of Ruse has burned to the ground in France, but miraculously there are no fatalities and injuries.

The largest, private TV channel bTV reported Tuesday that the incident happened early Monday morning near the city of Nice in southern France.

The bus was carrying mainly Bulgarians going home from Spain. It was serving a line from Spain to Bulgaria.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

The Bulgarian carrier company had told the passengers they will be accommodated in a hotel in Italy, but one of them spoke for bTV, informing they have been provided shelter by the French Red Cross.

She further said everyone on the bus was able to evacuate on time, but as nearly all luggage burned, many lost valuables such as jewelry, laptops, and ID papers. The bus has been totaled.

Passengers will have to wait 30 hours for another bus to arrive from Ruse, Bulgaria, to pick them up.
