Russia Issues Entry Papers to Ex CIA Employee Snowden

Russia has issued to former CIA employee Edward Snowden documents allowing him to enter the country.

Snowden is wanted by the US for leaking a significant amount of classified information.

He has been stuck for months in the transit zone of Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, waiting for a viable asylum to be offered.

Bolivia, Nicaragua and Venezuela have already officially stated they will welcome the US dissident.

Snowden has also asked for temporary asylum in Russia.
