Wednesday's sitting of the Bulgarian government is to focus on administrative reform.

The ministers are expected to discuss a report indicating that the average monthly salary of officials of central administrative bodies amounted to BGN 865 by September 1.

The report also uncovers imbalances in the salaries of officials holding equal posts at different structures.

The total number of public administration employees by end-2012 was 144 000, according to reports of Darik radio.

The biggest job cuts were implemented at the Foreign Ministry, where the number of employees was reduced by nearly 9% in a year, while the number of employees of the Interior Ministry decreased by 5%.
