Almost the entire territory of Bulgaria has been placed under warning for potentially dangerous weather Sunday, when precipitation is expected to intensify.

The regions of Gabrovo, Lovech and Veliko Tarnovo in central northern Bulgaria have been placed under code orange for dangerous weather.

This means precipitation is expected to reach 40-60 liters per square meter.

The remaining 21 Bulgarian regions (Haskovo, Kardzhali, Smolyan and Yambol in the south) have been placed under the lower code yellow (15-25 l / sq.m.).

Cooler air is also expected to set in Sunday, with highs around 18-23 degrees Centigrade, says the national weather service.

The weather is expected to start clearing up with the coming of next week and the new month of July.
