Veselin Peykov, CEO of Sofia Airport, has resigned.

Peykov, who was appointed CEO of Sofia Airport on July 1, 2011, explained Friday that he had made a personal decision to tender his resignation and had presented it to Transport Minister Danail Papazov, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT).

Hristo Shteriyonov, head of a directorate at Sofia Airport, will succeed Peykov as CEO.

According to unconfirmed reports of 24 Hours daily, Peykov will replace Shteriyonov as head of a directorate at Sofia Airport.
