Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov has invited Interior Minister Tsvetelin Yovchev, Justice Minister Zinaida Zlatanova and Deputy Chair of the State Agency for National Security (DANS) Vladimir Pisanchev to a meeting on counteracting crime.

The meeting on Monday was arranged on Friday, when the newly appointed controversial DANS Chair Delyan Peevski, Yovchev and Tsatsarov met to discuss measures to counteract crime, according to reports of dnevnik.bg.

After Friday's meeting, the prosecuting authority said in a media statement that the three would meet again on Monday to plan steps on concrete pre-trial proceedings.

One day after that, pressured by a wave of nationwide protests, media mogul and MP of ethnic Turkish party Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) Peevski announced that he was ready to step back if Parliament approved a decision for his removal from the post.

At the same time, Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski made clear that he would come up with a new nominee after a round of consultations.

According to reports of Presa daily, the first topic on the agenda of the meeting of Tsatsarov, Yovchev, and Pisanchev will be the 2012 Burgas bus bombing.

Monday's meeting is also to include a discussion on measures to curb smuggling.
