New Bomb Threats Target Bulgaria’s Parliament, Council of Ministers

The series of anonymous bomb threats in Bulgaria continued on Friday, with an unidentified man claiming that explosive devices had been placed in the National Assembly and the Council of Ministers in Sofia.

The call was received at around 10:50 am on Friday, according to the Interior Ministry.
Earlier on Friday, an anonymous bomb threat was received for the main courthouse in Sofia. Police conducted a search, finding no explosive devices.

Anonymous bomb threat briefly closed Bulgarian capital Sofia’s Central Train Station and the main courthouse (the Palace of Justice) on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Sofia witnessed a series of bomb threats, with separate anonymous calls claiming that explosive devices were placed in the Central Railway Station, the Sofia Airport and the Council of Ministers building.
