The official site of the Austrian company SORA - Institute for Social Research and Consulting, which is doing a parallel vote count in Bulgaria's May 12 early general elections has been attacked by hackers.

The information was confirmed by SORA slightly after midnight Monday.

It was reported earlier that the www.fairelections-bulgaria.eu has crashed and the glitch was attributed to an overload.

Earlier Sunday, SORA announced it would report the results between 10 am and midnight Sunday.

The company's managing partner Gunther Ogris said their control system was very trustworthy and he was hoping the results can be published later on Monday.

Ogris was not yet able to give the exact time of when the above would happen.

During Election Day, SORA show the media the hall where 150 people worked on 150 computers to process the ballot protocols from voting polls across the country and abroad.
