Only 4 Parties Enter Bulgaria's Next Parliament - Exit Poll

Four political parties will surely have lawmakers in Bulgaria’s next Parliament, according to an exit poll.

The center-right GERB party of former PM Boyko Borisov (2009-2013) is projected to win 30.3% of the vote, while its arch enemy, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, has garnered  27%, an exit poll, conducted by private Gallup polling agency, showed.

The ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms comes third with 10.7%, followed by the ultranationalist Attack (7.5%).

One more party, which appeared likely to enter the parliament during the pre-election campaign, failed to do so.

The right-wing Bulgaria for Citizens of former EU Commissioner Meglena Kuneva has 3.9%, which is exactly right below the election threshold.

The exit poll suggests that none of the other parties stand a chance of obtaining seats in Parliament.
