Bulgaria Socialists Draw Level with GERB before Sunday Vote - Poll

Bulgaria's Socialists have closed the gap with the center-right GERB party of former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, according to an opinion poll, released just two days before the crucial general elections on Sunday.

An opinion poll by the private Gallup agency put support for GERB at 24%, closely followed by the Socialists on 23.6%.

The nationalist Attack, ethnic Turkish MRF and pro-business Bulgaria for the Citizens are all said to have the potential to beat the 4% threshold and enter parliament, but the ethnic Turkish party is the only sure bet.
