Light Earthquake Registered in SW Bulgaria

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 points on the Richter scale has been registered in southwestern Bulgaria Thursday.
According to the Geophysics Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS, the quake had an epicenter with a depth of 2 km. The epicenter is located near the village of Novo Komanli and the town of Petrich in the Blagoevgrad region - 137 km south from the capital Sofia.
The tremor was registered at 6:08 am. There are no reports of casualties or damage. The shock was not felt by local residents.
An earthquake was registered near Petrich on Wednesday as well. It had a 3.2 magnitude and the epicenter was near the village of Dolno Spanchevo
