2 People Confirmed Dead in France Building Explosion

At least two people have died in the explosion that partly destroyed a block of flats in the northern French city of Reims, according to officials.

At least 10 people, including a number of children, are believed to have been injured.
Mayor Adeline Hazan told BFM TV that the explosion at the four-storey building was probably caused by a gas leak, the BBC informs.

French President Fran?ois Hollande's office released a statement calling the incident "a terrible tragedy."

All resources are mobilized to rescue and secure the premises, Hollande has said.
