5th Tremor in 24 H Registered in Southern Bulgaria

A fifth earthquake in twenty four hours has been registered in southern Bulgaria, near the town of Topolovgrad.

The earthquake occurred at 4:40 am EET Wednesday and was of a 2.7 magnitude on the Richter scale.

Four earthquakes were registered in the area Tuesday with magnitudes between 2.9 to 3.4.

There are no reports of casualties, injuries and material damage.

According to the Geophysics Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS, the quake is normal for the Topolovgrad area.
