Bulgarian conservative party Law, Order and Justice (RZS) has named the main formations it would be fighting against ahead of the snap elections in May.

In a statement, RZS has declared that it would attempt to prevent “the new three-way coalition” from coming to power.

The party believes that “the new three-way coalition” would consist of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) and the Bulgaria for Citizens Party of former European Commissioner Meglena Kuneva.

The former so-called three-way coalition government (2005-2009) included BSP, DPS and the marginal liberal National Movement for Stability and Prosperity.

RZS is unlikely to enter Bulgaria’s next Parliament, according to recent polls.

The conservatives have apparently sided with GERB, the centrist-right party whose government resigned in February amid massive anti-poverty protests.
