Bulgarian President, Rosen Plevneliev, is on an official visit to Hungary Tuesday and Wednesday, the presidential press office announced.

In Budapest, Plevneliev will meet with Hungarian counterpart Janos Ader, the Speaker of the National Assembly Laszlo Kover, and Deputy Prime Minister Tibor Navracsics.

Some of the topics to be discussed include bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperation between Bulgaria and Hungary in the European Union.

Plevneliev and Ader are expected to sign bilateral agreements in the field of education, culture, and science.

The President will also visit the Bulgarian School in Budapest and will meet with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Hungary.

After that, Plevneliev and his Hungarian counterpart will attend a concert of the Filip Kutev Folk Dance Ensemble and the folklore ensemble of the Bulgarian community in Hungary – Yantra.

During his visit to Hungary, the President will also open an exhibit in Budapest titled Difficult Choice of Great Importance – the Fate of Bulgarian Jews, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews during WWII.

The delegation also includes caretaker Minister of Education, Youth and Science, Nikolay Miloshev, and caretaker Minister of Culture, Vladimir Penev.
