Employers to Stay out of Bulgaria's Social Council

Society | April 2, 2013, Tuesday // 08:16|  views

The meeting of Bulgaria's Three-way Council on social affairs scheduled Tuesday could take place without one of the three parties, after employer organizations said they will stay out.

At the sitting, Bulgaria's goverment, trade unions and employers were to discuss urgent measures to be taken by the cabinet to aid the poor.

Another point on the agenda is the updating of Bulgaria's Employment strategy.

Employer organizations have decided to stay out in protest against a law passed by the now-dissolved parliament, which stipulate that members of their boards must have their property publicly delcared.
