Bulgaria's EU Competiveness Official Sacked - Report

Bulgaria's caretaker Economy and Energy Minister, Asen Vassilev, has fired Kiril Geratliev, head of the EU Competitiveness Funds Directorate at the Ministry.

The site OFFNews reports that the dismissal has been decided on last Friday, but the Ministry is yet to officially announce the reshuffle and the grounds for it.

According to sources speaking off-the-record, the majority of Geratliev team has been dismissed as well.

Geratliev is not answering his cell phone.
