Bulgarian Cocaine King's Daughter 'Not Harmed during Kidnapping'

Lara, the 10-year-old daughter of powerful Bulgarian mafia boss Evelin Banev aka Brendo, was not harmed during her abduction early on Tuesday, according to local media reports.

The girl's bodyguard, who was shot twice by masked gunmen, has been rushed to hospital. His life is not in danger, according to the latest reports.

The 10-year-old girl was abducted at approximately 7:30 am on Tuesday in the affluent Sofia suburb of Boyana.

The abductors forced her into a BMW X5 vehicle and headed towards the Okolovrastno Shose boulevard.

Banev was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison last month. He was charged with heading an organized crime gang and money laundering.
