Two of the most respected and popular US dailies, New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, have published articles about anticipations Bulgaria will blame Tuesday Hezbollah for the Burgas terror act.

The topic about the forthcoming February 5 sitting of the Council for National Security is also the focus of the attention of several other American and Israeli media.

Jay Solomon and Gordon Fairclough write for WSJ that "Bulgaria's government is expected to release an investigative report this week blaming the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and its ally Iran for a terrorist bombing last summer that killed five Israeli tourists, said U.S. and Middle East officials briefed on the findings."

In January, Israeli TV Chanel 2 reported that the Bulgarian report about the July 18, 2012, terror act in Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Burgas is blaming the Lebanese Hezbollah for the attack.

The announcement was made during Bulgaria's Foreign Minister, Nikolay Mladenov, visit to Israel.

On January 27th, Mladenov was on a one-day visit to Washington DC. In both cases, the Foreign Ministry denied delivering a Hezbollah report.

The bombing at the Burgas Sarafovo airport killed 5 Israeli tourists, their Bulgarian bus driver and the perpetrator of the attack.

While Israel blamed Hezbollah and its sponsor Iran for the attack, the Bulgarians have not yet issued their final report on the matter.

The conclusions of the report are expected to have a significant impact on whether the EU finally adds Hezbollah to its list of terrorist organizations, something the US has already done and which Israel has been pushing for more than a decade. Such a move could lead to the freezing of Hezbollah's assets in Europe.
