Serbian coach Miodrag Jesic has officially returned to lead top Bulgarian team CSKA Sofia as the side's manager.

"I feel very good to return to the place where I achieved some great successes," commented Jesic at the press event Tuesday.

"I know very well what CSKA is - it is the greatest Bulgarian football club," added he.

"I will work in such a way so that we may achieve the results befitting CSKA's rank," committed the Serbian coach.

Jesic, who was up to now at the helm of Saudi Professional League side Najran, coachedĀ CSKA between 2004 and 2006.

During this period he became a Champion of Bulgaria and recorded a win over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League qualifying phase.

At the press conference Tuesday, Jesic stated that all controversies regarding his controversial quitting of the team in 2006 are now forgotten.

The Serbian has concluded a 2.5 years' contract with CSKA, which has the option for an extension with another 2.5.

CSKA, which has been haunted by financial trouble and inconsistent play of late, fired manager Stoycho Mladenov last Friday.

The team is currently fourth in the standings in Bulgaria's A-League with 29 points from 15 matches, nine points behind leaders Ludogorets Razgrad.
