UEFA Executives to Discuss Euro 2020 in Sofia

UEFA's Executive Committee is to hold a sitting in Bulgaria's capital Sofia in March 2013, Bulgarian Football Union head Borislav Mihaylov has told reporters.

According to Mihaylov, the sitting will be held on March 27 and will be "of great importance", since details are to be discussed surrounding the organization of Euro 2020.

UEFA announced on 6 December 2012 that it had made the unprecedented decision to host Euro 2020 in multiple cities across Europe. The plan to spread the tournament across the continent  was initiated by UEFA president Michel Platini.

The choice of exactly how many cities and countries will host the 24-team, 51-match tournament is scheduled for the spring of 2014.

Borislav Mihaylov stated on Thursday that Bulgaria stands a serious chance to be one of the co-hosts.
