Bulgarian Zhana Yaneva Vies for Miss Universe Crown

22-year-old Bulgarian Zhana Yaneva will compete in the Miss Universe 2012 beauty pageant on Wednesday.
Yaneva will be competing against almost 90 contestants from across the world.
Bulgarian media have reminded that the country has not had a competitor in the prestigious beauty pageant for several years.
Yaneva has already participated in the preliminary round, parading her national costume and swimsuit.
The Bulgarian contestant's interests include tennis, skiing, and jogging in the park. Zhana spends much of her time volunteering with orphanages.
The winner will be selected at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, US.
