Bulgaria to Take Over Rotating PABSEC Presidency

Parliament Chair Tsetska Tsacheva and Bulgarian MPs will participate in the 40th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) on November 27-28 in Baku.

At the forum in forum in Azerbaijan's capital, Bulgaria will take over the rotating presidency of the PABSEC.

The rotating presidency of PABSEC will be officially handed over to Bulgaria's Parliament Chair Tsetska Tsacheva by Oktay Asadov, Chairman of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Bulgaria will hold the rotating PABSEC presidency for a period of six months.

In June 2013, at the end of Bulgaria's PABSEC presidency term, the Black Sea city of Varna will host the next session of PABSEC.

Bulgaria's presidency will coincide with PABSEC's 20th anniversary.

To mark the occasion, Varna will host the Conference of Parliament Speakers of PABSEC Member States.

During her visit to Azerbaijan, Tsacheva will meet with Milli Mejlis Chairman Oktay Asadov and will hold talks with Prime Minister Artur Rasizade.

Tsacheva and the delegation of Bulgarian MPs will meet with members of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Azerbaijan-Bulgaria of the Milli Mejlis.

The 40th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) will also be attended by Dimitar Atanasov, Head of the Bulgarian PABSEC Delegation, and MPs Stoyan Gyuzelev, Plamen Oresharski, and Ramadan Atalay.
