Bulgarian media renewed their efforts Thursday to learn details about the upcoming meeting between Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov and US President Barack Obama in Washington DC, but to no avail.

On Tuesday, Interior Minister and Deputy PM Tsvetan Tsvetanov announced that Borisov will meet the recently reelected for a second term in office US President by the end of 2012.

"When we are ready to announce a visit, we will do it," Caitlin M Hayden, deputy spokesperson, National Security Council at the White House, has told the Bulgarian National Radio.

The US Department of State has refused to comment on Obama's schedule.

However, sources from the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs have told BNR that diplomats are now working to schedule Borisov's trip to the US.

The only official report so far has been issued by the Interior Ministry's press office, informing the invitation to Borisov has been extended by John Brennan, who has stressed this would be one of the first meetings of Obama with a foreign leader after the reelection.
