Bulgarian, Slovak Cabinets to Hold First Ever Joint Sitting in 2013

The governments of Slovakia and Bulgaria have agreed to hold a joint session next year, it has been announced.

The joint session of Bulgaria and Slovakia is expected to take place on May 24, 2013 in Bulgaria.

"I welcome the proposal on the joint session of the Bulgarian and Slovak governments," Slovak PM Robert Fico has declared, as quoted by the TASR newswire and The Slovak Spectator.

Fico has reminded that a number of important agreements have been signed during his country's recent joint cabinet sitting with the Czech Republic.

Bulgaria has already held similar sessions with the governments of Israel, Turkey, Greece and Romania.

Slovakia's Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak is expected to meet with hishis Bulgarian counterpart Nikolay Mladenov. The meeting is expected to see the signing of relevant agreements concerning economic co-operation, The Slovak Spectator informs.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov was on a two-day visit to Slovakia, which started on Monday, November 12.
