Russian President Vladimir Purin has postponed his trip to Bulgaria by a month and will visit the country in December, a Bulgarian paper has reported.

In mid-September, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov publically announced Putin will travel to Bulgaria on November 9. Borisov noted then the documents for the South Stream gas pipeline were to be signed during the November 9 meeting.

However, the Kremlin said nothing of the sort existed in their President's agenda.

Putin will visit Bulgaria after his visit to Turkey early in December, according to the Bulgarian Standart daily.

The exact date of Putin's visit to Bulgaria is yet to be announced, Standart says.

The deadline to sign the South Stream agreement is November 15th.

When making the announcement that Putin would visit Bulgaria, Borisov  suggested that the Russian President was facing quite an unpleasant trip to Bulgaria over the increased to EUR 1 B claim of Russia's Atomstroyexport against Bulgaria's National Electric Company, NEK, because of the cancelled Belene Nuclear Power Plant project.
