Bulgaria's tennis star Grigor Dimitrov advanced to the quarterfinals of Swiss Indoors tournament after a hard-won victory over France's Julien Benneteau.

Grigor Dimitrov had 17 aces in defeating Julien Benneteau 7-6 (5), 6-7 (1), 7-6 (3) in a match that lasted for nearly three hours.

Meanwhile top seed and home favorite Roger Federer reached the quarterfinal round of the Swiss Indoor Basel after a hard-earned 6-3, 6-7(6), 7-5 victory over Thomaz Bellucci Wednesday.
