Uruguay to Open Honorary Consulate in Bulgaria

Uruguay is to open an honorary consulate in Sofia, the Bulgarian government announced on Wednesday.

Bulgarian citizen Plamen Bonev will be appointed as Uruguay's honorary consul to the Balkan Country. Bonev is currently the CEO of tourist company Gloria Tours.

The Bulgarian Council of Ministers has pointed out that Uruguay's honorary consulate in Sofia will help the two countries deepen their economic and cultural ties.
