An array of 80 cartoons by prominent artist Chavdar Nikolov, lampooning the political scenario in Bulgaria and Europe, is on display at Seasons Gallery in Sofia as of Thursday.

This is Nikolov's sixth solo exhibition, entitled "The Ball of Artists", which visitors with good sense of humor can enjoy by October 15.

"Everyone is there – the invited and uninvited, men and women, democrats and dictators, kings and jesters, bankers, poets, artists and counterfeiters, heroes and traitors. I'm there too and having a great time," the author commented.

The author is one of the most prominent Bulgarian cartoonists, whose works have been published in many Bulgarian newspapers and magazines.

He is the winner of the Grand Prix for caricature of the Union of Bulgarian Artists for 2004 and UN's Ranan Lurie award, granted for the best political cartoons reflecting the spirit and principles of the United Nations.
