Diesel Production in Bulgaria Up by 65% Y/Y in August 2012

In August 2012, the production of diesel increased by 18.2% month on month to 208 thousand tons, according to data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

The production of liquefied petroleum gas increased by 10.1% to 11 thousand tons month on month, while the production of unleaded gasoline went up by 9.6% to 160 thousand tons over the same period.

In August 2012, monthly decreases were registered in the production of solid fuels and electricity, which fell by 6.8% to 2763 thousand tons and by 6.5% to 3772 GWh, respectively.

In August 2012, as compared to August 2011, increases were reported in the production of LPG (up by 22.2%), unleaded gasoline (up by 27%), and diesel (up by 65.1%), with decreases in the production of solid fuels (down by 12.5%) and electricity (down by 6.4%).

In August 2012, deliveries of unleaded gasoline increased by 18.4% to 58 thousand tons month on month, while deliveries of diesel went up by 30.2% to 168 thousand tons over the same period.

In August 2012, monthly decreases were registered in the deliveries of solid fuels (down by 6.3% to 2946 thousand tons), natural gas (down by 6.6% to 141 million standard cubic meters), and electricity (down by 2.8% to 2609 GWh).

Deliveries of LPG remained unchanged.
