Bulgarian Paralympians Win 3 Medals in London

Bulgaria's athletes won a total of three medals – two silver and one bronze - in this year's Paralympic summer games in London.

Stela Eneva won both silver medals, as she finished second in the women's shot put discipline and in the discus throwing contest.

Bulgaria's first medal in the London 2012 Paralympics was a bronze won by Radoslav Zlatanov in the long jump.

The Balkan country finished 59th in the overall medal table.

China topped the medal standings by a staggering margin, collecting 91 gold, 71 silver and 65 bronze medals. Russia finished 2nd, followed by Great Britain and Ukraine.

The 14th Summer Paralympics were held in London from August 29 to September 9. Over 4,000 athletes took part in the competition.
