New Bulgarian Cocaine Ship Ring Broken Up in Spain

Spanish and British authorities have broken up a Bulgarian drug trafficking ring, as two yachts found to be carrying more than 500 kg of cocaine have been intercepted.

The police operation was carried out by Spain's National Police, in collaboration with SOCA, the British Serious Organised Crime Agency, and with the help of the Guardia Civil and Spanish Navy

One of the two vessels was carrying the massive cocaine shipment, while the other was about to take it to the Spanish coast.

Both yachts were busted at Las Palmas, the BGNES news agency informs, citing Spanish media.

The authorities are yet to disclose the number of drug traffickers busted in the operation. However, it has been made clear that the drug trafficking ring was organized by Bulgarians and also included members from Spain and South America.
