Bulgaria is to blame Shiite militant group Hezbollah for last month's Burgas bus bombing that killed five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver, according to Lebanese newspaper Al-Jumhuriya.

The new official Bulgarian position will be followed by accusations on behalf of the European Union and the US, the paper believes.

As a result, Hezbollah will be listed as a terrorist organization by the bloc, Al-Jumhuriya has pointed out, as cited by dnevnik.bg.

The paper has noted that the international isolation will leave Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati no choice but to resign.

In the aftermath of the July 18 Burgas bus bombing, Israel tried to convince the EU to designate the Lebanese-based Hezbollah group as a terror entity, but to no avail.

The United States classifies Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
