Wedding Bells for Bulgaria's Rhythmic Gymnastic Team Captain

Mihaela Maevska, captain of Bulgaria's rhythmic gymnastic team, is not available any more after tying the knot with world combat sambo champion Boris Velichkov.

"I wish Mihaela to be as dedicated to her husband as she was to the team. If she manages to do that, he will feel like a world champion every day," the team coach Iliyana Raeva said, as cited by 24 Hours daily.

The girls from the team, who have spent the most time with Mihaela over the last three years, were proud bridesmaids, all dressed in playful pink.

Another important decision awaits Mihaela Maevska round the corner as she is to decide whether stay or leave the national team.

Speaking after ranking at the disappointing sixth spot in the Olympic finals in London, she said the pressure was huge and they just could not cope with it.

"I am sure the team will keep on with renewed vigor for the next Olympics. But I don't think I will be playing in the next Olympics," she said back then.
