Govt Plane Evacuates Severely Ill Russian Tourist from Bulgaria

An airplane of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations flew from Moscow to Bulgarian Black Sea resort city Burgas Sunday to evacuate a severely ill Russian tourist.

The 41-year-old woman had suffered a stroke on July 31 lapsed into a coma, reports RIA Novosti.

According to the Russian Emergency Situation Ministry, her condition is "very grave."

In the small hours Sunday, she was transported to a hospital in the St. Petersburg, where she resides, as ordered by Russia's government.

The tourist was staying in Bulgaria together with her two children, ages 7 and 12, but they had already been flown back to St. Petersburg.
