Both domestic and international transportation of goods registered increases of 4.8% and 12%, respectively.

In Q2, 2012, the number of passengers transported by railway and bus transport fell by 2.8% from Q2, 2011, reaching 129.3 M.

The decrease is mainly due to the smaller number of domestic travels, with a drop of 11.3% in railway transport and a decline of 9.3% in bus transport.

Meanwhile, transport performance fell by 7.1% from Q2, 2011 to 3.09 B passenger-kilometers.

Transport performance fell by 42.7% from Q2, 2011 , with a drop of 46.8% in maritime transport due to the smaller cargo volumes and the smaller average distance of travel.

In Q2, 2012, urban electric transport companies operating trams, trolleybuses, and subway, serviced a total of 69.8 M passengers, down by 0.2%.

Transport performance remained unchanged from Q2, 2011, at 318,5 passenger-kilometers.
