Berbatov Nears Man Utd Exit, Fiorentina Don't Give Up

Italian club Fiorentina are negotiating their way into signing Manchester United's unsettled Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov, their latest offer reportedly standing at EUR 5 M.

Fiorentina's initial EUR 4 M offer was rejected by the Red Devils, the Bulgarian National Radio has reported.

Negotiations between the two clubs are expected to last for several more days.

As Metro has pointed out, the most significant interest for Berbatov so far has come from Russian champions Zenit. Howver, the striker is said to be is unsure about returning to eastern Europe.

The Bulgarian has been unwanted at Old Trafford for a while now, with the arrival of Robin van Persie from Arsenal only making things worse for him.
