Since the beginning of August, the revenue administration has started mass inspections of grain storage and grain trading sites in northeastern Bulgaria, according to Svetlan Petkov, head of the NRA unit in charge of northeastern Bulgaria.

The inspections are being carried out by NRA staff, police officers, and representatives of the National Grains Service and are part of the government's program aimed at curbing VAT evasion.
