Koko Dinev, owner of a restaurant in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, where a small bomb went off, in the wee hours of Thursday says the incident aimed at discrediting him.

Speaking for Darik radio Thursday, he, however, did not rule out that the bomb might have not targeted him.

The controversial businessman explained that those who know him well also know that he hardly ever comes to the place, maybe once every two months.

Dinev is yet to be interrogated by investigators, but vows full cooperation with the probe.

The explosion took place at around 04:27 am in front of the Kosharite (the Pens) restaurant in the Lozenets residential district.

It had the power of about 200 grams in trotyl equivalent, according to dnevnik.bg.

Konstantin "Koko" Dinev is the former owner of the Lokomotiv Plovdiv football club. He has been suspected in organizing illegal gambling schemes.
