Bomb Goes Off Outside Sofia Restaurant

A small bomb went off in front of a restaurant in the Bulgarian capital Sofia in the wee hours of Thursday.

The explosion took place at around 04:27 am in front of the Kosharite restaurant in the Lozenets residential district.

It had the power of about 200 grams in trotyl equivalent, according to dnevnik.bg.

Local media outlets report that the restaurant in question is owned by controversial businessman Konstantin "Koko" Dinev, a former owner of the Lokomotiv Plovdiv football club.

Dinev has been suspected in organizing illegal gambling schemes.
