Bulgarians and Ukrainians are last by the amount of fuel they can purchase with an average monthly salary – 200 liters of A95.

They are followed by Romanians, Lithuanians and Hungarians.

The ranking has been made by experts from the Center for Economic Research "RIA-Analitika," who have studied stats about 95 grade fuel in 32 countries. The price analyses had been conducted in RUB, by converting local currencies using the rates of the Russian Central Bank.

The highest fuel prices in Europe have been registered in oil-rich Norway over the high taxes. Norwegians, however, rank second (1 900 liters) after Luxembourg (2 200 liters) by the amount of fuel they can purchase with what they earn.

Italy (EUR 1.81) and the Netherlands (EUR 1.78) follow Norway in the costliest gasoline ranking.

Fuel is cheapest in Russia (EUR 0.72) while Russians can purchase an average of 870 liters for their monthly wage, ranking them 16th.

In August fuel prices in Bulgaria hit another record high with A95 gasoline sold for BG 2.71 – 2.73 per liter.
