Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will visit Thursday the Olympic Village in London to meet with Bulgarian athletes.

According to the press office of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC), the visit of Bulgaria's is scheduled for 12.30 BST.

The President will be greeted at the entrance of the International Zone of the Olympic Village by the heads of the Bulgarian delegation, after which he will meet with Bulgarian athletes, coaches and journalists and have a tour around in the Olympic Village.

Commenting on Wednesday's triumph of the Bulgarian national volleyball team, Plevneliev said: "A cool match, we are proud of the team. We are not to be underestimated. These young boys are exceptionally talented and I am sure that they will have even more self-confidence. I wish them the best of luck."

Bulgaria's national volleyball team beat Germany 3:0 at the quarter-finals of the London Olympics.

Late Wednesday night, the Bulgarians scored 25:20, 25:16, and 25:14 against Germany in the individual games.

Bulgaria's volleyball team advanced to the semi-final of the London Olympics Volleyball Tournament for the first time in 32 years.

Plevneliev watched the volleyball match live in the company of BOC Chair Stefka Kostadinova and one of his three sons.

Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov met with a part of the Bulgarian Olympic delegation in Bulgaria's Embassy in London.
