Nine Syrian immigrants were arrested on Tuesday near the Malko Tarnovo crossing point on the Bulgarian-Turkish border.

Another six Syrians were captured near the village of Golyan Dervent, Elhovo Municipality, also near the Bulgarian-Turkish border, the police said.

In the second case, the police also busted two Bulgarian human traffickers aiding the Syrian group.

In a separate incident, the Bulgarian border authorities on the Kapitan Andreevo crossing on the Bulgarian-Turkish border busted an illegal Turkish citizen hiding in a family car with Dutch license plates.
