Bulgaria's best female sprinter Ivet Lalova has made it to the 100 m sprint semi-finals at the London Olympics.

European champion at 100 m sprint Lalova finished second in Friday night's run, with 11.06 seconds, thus equalizing the best result in Europe for the season, which belongs to her.

Lalova ran in the third series on Friday; she came in second only to Jamaican sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown, who finished with a result of 10.94 seconds.

Lalova, widely known as the fastest white woman, has come back to her glory days before she broke her leg in a freak accident and underwent seven operations.

She won the European Title in the 100 m sprint at the European Track and Field Championship in Helsinki at the beginning of July 2012.

Lalova is competing for the third time in Olympic Games and says she has learned and grown up a lot since her first Olympic steps.
