Australia's men's volleyball team, known as the Volleyroos, have admitted their disappointment after a crushing loss to Bulgaria in an Olympic volleyball pool match.

The Aussies were at one stage six-point leaders.

'A bit disappointed after the incredible start to the second set. To lose our focus was terrible,' Volleyroo Aiden Zingel said, as cited by local media.

'We've been coming out firing in most of these matches so we need to keep preparing and keep on coming out firing.'

The Australian team made a serious game with strong resistance to the Bulgarians on Thursday, but went to lose all sets (25:23, 25:21, 25:22).

The Bulgarians were even well behind in the second and third sets, but went on to reverse the game.

Among the best players on the team were Nikolay Nikolov, Vitkor Yosifov, and Vladimir Nikolov.

Bulgaria is the only undefeated team in London 2012's men's volleyball Group A, after defeating hosts Great Britain 3:0 and favorites Poland 3:1.

The results this far ensure that the Bulgarian team will qualify for the tournament's quarterfinals.

The Bulgarians' remaining games in the pool are with Argentina on Saturday and Italy on Monday.
