Bulgaria's best badminton player Petya Nedelcheva, who had set her eyes on winning a medal in London, has unexpectedly been kicked out of the Olympic Games.

Adrianti Firdasari of Indonesia was one of only two unseeded players to win their group when she defeated 15th-seeded Petya Nedelcheva 21-10, 21-15.

The 29-year-old Bulgarian was expected to win the match, but her mistakes made it very easy for her opponent to win.

"I am angry with myself, I made a lot of mistakes, my play was not focused. I had very little in advance information about Firdasari and did not know what to expect," Nedelcheva told reporters after the match.

Nedelcheva and other players have complained of the conditions in the sports hall, saying it is too hot for playing badminton.
