Thousands of Bulgarians are competing for a total of 151 jobs at the Customs Agency.

The first of a total of eight exams for customs inspectors was held Monday.

In Svilengrad, a total of 245 candidates competed for 20 places.

The exam consists of an IQ test and tests of the candidates' professional competence and psychological fitness.

On Tuesday, a total of 927 will compete for 20 positions in Burgas.

On August 1 – 2, 977 candidates will compete for 20 positions at the customs administration in Varna.

In Ruse, a total of 688 will compete for 24 places on August 3.

The exam in Sofia has been scheduled for August 6 and will include 599 participants competing for 20 positions.

On August 17, 367 applicants will sit the exam in Blagoevgrad, competing for 17 places at the local customs administration unit.

In Plovdiv, the exam will be held on August 20, with 414 applicants competing for 10 positions.

A total of 554 have applied for 20 jobs at Sofia Airport's customs unit.

The vacancies at the Customs Agency units opened after around 200 employees were dismissed over the lack of a university degree.
