The fake Michigan driver's license carried by the suicide bomber who killed five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian driver last week in Burgas was first spotted in the country five years ago, according to a government official.

The driver's license was spotted in the city of Plovdiv back in 2007, Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov has told lawmakers. It is unclear whether it was the same individual who used the document back then.

The document was "very well forged" and was "probably not done in Bulgaria," according to the Bulgarian Interior Minister, dnevnik.bg informs.

The suicide bomber did not have "Arab traits," Tsvetanov told the bTV private channel on Friday, citing witness reports.

The July 18 terrorist attack in Bulgaria's Burgas, also known as the Burgas Bus Bombing, killed 5 Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver at the Sarafovo Airport. The main lead so far was that it has been executed by a suicide bomber, who arrived from abroad.
